F&M vintage college style: a idea of America romantically linked to the past

A great story always starts with a journey. Franklin & Marshall's story started with a journey towards one of America's oldest colleges, Franklin and Marshall in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, which was founded in 1787.
Giuseppe Albarelli and Andrea Pensiero arrived in Lancaster at the end of the 1990s, accompanied by their great passion for North American college lifestyle, many years of experience in the clothing sector and an idea: to bring this style to Italy.
This interesting meeting, between a creative and a new graduate in economics, both who were passionate about fashion and the professors of this prestigious institution, along with Italian style and American tradition, later led to the creation of a brand that today has become the emblem of college style in Europe.
Behind the origins of the brand, there is also an old blue college sweatshirt, found by chance in a second-hand clothes market in London. The sweatshirt is rich in history and the symbol of many important values, becoming a source of inspiration for a complete clothing line. Today this includes sweatshirts, t-shirts, polos, knitwear, bermuda shorts and other items, all of which combines the  typical colours and lines of American clothing with the quality of made in Italy .
It is due to this strong identity that in just a few years the Franklin & Marshall t-shirt or sweatshirt has become a symbol, a garment that brings together North American college life and young people from all over the world.
It is a lifestyle that carefully follows young trends and innovations, and makes the brand seek out and support the most interesting European events: for Franklin & Marshall college style means sport, culture, music and constant attention to all that is new and creative.
The company's main goal is quality: 95% of Franklin & Marshall garments are made in Italy, distributed through own-brand stores or carefully selected multi-brand stores throughout the world.
The brand's philosophy is based on respect, honesty and an ethical vision of work, both within the company and in relations with the outside world:  Franklin & Marshall consider GDW, gross domestic wellbeing, the true aim of all entrepreneurial activities based on solid values. Its objective is to live every working day as a creative moment, which can also come to a close in the bar or spa of the company headquarters in Montorio, housed in a factory dating from the mid 19th century set among the green hills of Verona.
