Culture and sport, music and nature: Franklin & Marshall follow in the steps of American college style heading from Lancaster to New York, passing through Red Hook, Cold Spring and Poughkeepsie, to the farms of Glynwood and beyond the Hudson River to Cooperstown, the place where baseball was born. Two guys and two girls in an old Jeep Grand Wagoneer... the journey begins. Welcome to Upstate New York.
Sport is a school of life. It is one of the most important values in the Franklin & Marshall world. This interest has given the brand the opportunity to meet one of the most important figures in the world of Spanish sport: the Juventud de Badalona basketball team. The idea came from the players themselves: the team was looking for a new clothing line and the Badalona boys asked for an elegant but youthful style, inspired by the American sports world, a way to wear the black and green colors of their team while represent the team spirit a new way. The choice could only be Franklin & Marshall. For the 2010-2011 season, the brand has designed the official, non-technical, clothing for Juventud de Badalona and the clothing will be available exclusively at the team's home stadium - the Olympic Badalona Pavilion which opened in 1992.

Upstate New York. Franklin & Marshall's Autumn-Winter 2011 journey takes place where the city ends and nature begins, beyond that undefined border that separates Downstate New York from Upstate New York. But where is the border exactly? For Franklin & Marshall the only important boundary is freedom, the desire to know the world and to live in direct contact with nature. Upstate New York is home to the great American outdoors: forests, rivers and mountains as described by the father of American literature, Mark Twain, who wrote The Adventures of Tom Sawyer on a farm in Elmira, Chemung County, New York. It 's also the magical place where, in August 1969 at Woodstock during a music festival, an era defined itself.
The first stop in Franklin & Marshall's journey through Upstate New Yorkis a large red wooden farmhouse in the Lower Hudson Valley on Route 301. Glynwood Farm is a community that practices sustainable agriculture, boasting two hundred acres of fields and pastures. It is the place where the great American story of George W. Perkins began. Perkins was one of the first environmentalists in the United States who, in 1900 in the hills of Upstate New York, created the Palisades Nature Reserve, where Glynwood was eventually developed.
